About Florilega

My name is Florence, from an early age I have been enthralled by the natural world, with a sense of connection to the land. For my eighteenth birthday, I asked my family for a greenhouse instead of driving lessons!

Inspired by my wonderful Nana and Granny, both gifted flower arrangers, I studied how to gather and arrange ingredients from the garden. Once my own tables and windowsills were brimming with blooms, I began to share surplus bunches with neighbours. I have since expanded my growing space to regularly provide the local community and florists with home-grown floral joy. Nothing brings me greater fulfilment than seeing the power that flowers have to inspire emotion and connection. You will invariably find me up to my elbows in the soil with Monty, my canine companion, always by my side.
